Directly across the river from the cabin is the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife refuge. To our delight wildlife abounds on the property with deer, turkey, eagles, and a host of others animals can be spotted throughout the year.

Our private access to the river offers exciting wade fishing and floating options. This section of the river has outstanding fishing for cutthroat, rainbow and brown trout. This is an excellent fishing opportunity.

A hiker can enjoy a wide array of hiking trails on both sides of the Bitterroot Valley from Lolo to Lost Trail. Sightseeing Montana Discover the unspoiled beauty of the Bitterroot Mountains. Enjoy some wildlife viewing across the river at Lee Metcalf Game Preserve. Fishing the Bitterroot The Bitterroot river is well known as one of the finest dry fly fishing rivers in the state. The dry fly fishing season begins in March and depending on the weather ends in late November.
